File Submission Guidelines

The information in the table below provides general guidelines for file submissions. If you have  specific questions or require further information, please contact:

Guidelines
File Formats Mac or PC files are accepted.
Note: PC file formats will be converted to MAC prior to output.
Recommended Applications Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Quark Xpress, Macromedia Freehand, Adobe Pagemaker or Corel Draw.
Fonts
 Include fonts when submitting files. Mac fonts should include both screen and printer fonts.
Colors Match proofs are provided to ensure color accuracy. For exact ink matches, LA Label recommends a “PMS Draw Down” to ensure the accuracy of ink color at press.
Imported graphics/images Please include separate files for any “placed” or “imported” graphic elements when submitting your artwork for printing.
File submission methods
 LA Label accepts files via e-mail, CD, and diskette. All file submissions should include details on who is expecting your file and how they can reach you.
E-mail: Include artwork as an attachment using compressed-self extracting “ZIPit” or “Stuffit. Attachments over 10 MB are not recommended.
Disks: Include an approved color laser proof with your file. Please include a return mailing address if you would like your diskette to be returned.
Proofs
 LA Label recommends a calibrated Match proof as a representation of the true digital color in your file. Proofs are available in the following forms: Digital, ColorKey, Redline, LaserPrint, Film Positive, and e-mailed PDF file.
